Joker's cocky, a trickster, and has a sense of justice, yes, but Joker's still a blank character. He doesn't really emote, even if he did emote, he did it mildly. Like when he remembered that Shido's the one who made him got expelled and had criminal record, you don't really see how pissed, angry, or anything from Joker. The one who projects all of it are other's like Ryuji, Ann, Makoto, Sojiro etc. Even if Joker's line are a lot more than previous protagonist, Joker himself doesn't have his own persepctive.
